My Red Streak

So I did it. I went and got my hair done on Saturday with Jarom. I told him I wanted it dark, and with bangs...well he talked me into putting a red streak in it. He wanted to do the streak down the middle of my head and I told him I still had to go to church. Anyway, it's a little crazy, but it's fun for a change. Then Grandma Harris came over (I had a picture, but that one is not working) to watch the boys so Ben and I could go on our first date ALONE since Ethan was born. So we went to Kneaders for dinner, then grocery shopping (oh the joys of being married). At church on Sunday, the young people said they liked my hair, and the older people gave me a funny look. Ha Ha!

Random

We have not been doing much this week. This is a picture of my cousin Tessley when she came over and babysat last week for us.
Almost time for bed...I just took my makeup off and was getting comfy, probably watching The Office or something.
I was trying to burp Ethan after feeding him, and he fell asleep. He does that a lot. So cute!
Well girls, thanks for the hair advice. I made an appointment with my brother in law Jarom tomorrow (Saturday). I'm excited to do something different. Any last minute ideas? (I think I might actually get bangs...AH!).
Oh, by the way. I was driving to go see Ben at work yesterday and a white mini van passed me. It was a mom, with kids in the back (hence the mini van) she was SMOKING! I just don't understand how you could do that to your children. It makes me so mad!

Hair...Just like Sarah

Hey, I also need advice on my hair. I need to do something (somewhat) different. Should I get bangs? Should I cut it? Should I color it? I'm getting bored, and I only know how to do hair one way...blow dry then curl. What do you suppose I should do? Help!

So right after I posted the last time complaining about not having "me" time, Ben comes home from work and I have flowers waiting on the counter for me. How sweet is that. They are my favorite Red & Pinkish Roses! The card says, "just because, love Ben".
And now, while I'm posting this, Ben is making Spaghetti for dinner. Yum! I tried to make it, but as you can see Ethan was sleeping in my arms. Thanks Ben, you made my day!!

Girls Night

27 Dresses film poster I'm going to see 27 Dresses tonight with Shayla, Liz, and Lynzie & Ethan is coming too. Movie starts at 8pm, I'm excited to get out with the girls. Ben is going to stay home with Jake and Ryan. I hope it's good!

So, does anyone else find motherhood a little unfair? Or am I just selfish? Even when going out with the "girls" I'm still bringing a child with me. I feel like I have no "me" time. Ben is going shooting with his brothers tomorrow morning by himself. I'll be watching both boys. I talked to Ben about this and how I was frustrated, and he said, "I can't help that I don't have boobs". Am I alone on this? Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, and wouldn't trade them for anything. But sometimes I'd just like to pee by myself, ya know?

Lots of Food

On Saturday my mom, Liz and I went to a bridal show at the Salt Palace. It was really fun. I didn't go to a bridal show when I got married, but they had a fashion show, and a whole bunch of free samples. You know...like chocolate! Mmm! They wouldn't let us take pictures there...what a crock. On Sunday after church we went to my Aunt Stacy's house for dinner. My uncle Mark (my mom's brother) retired from being a Salt Lake County Sheriff, so we celebrated with the family. Last night the Harris Clan went to Chuck-A-Rama for dinner to say goodbye to Jud. He is going to San Diego again for the Marines, he will be back in June right before his wedding. We will miss him, and I'm sure Liz will too. Oh and last night I fed Ethan before we went to dinner at 6:30 p.m. and he didn't wake up until 4:30 a.m. 9 1/2 hours of sleep...that is AWESOME! We need to have him sleep in his car seat more often.

CHUCK A RAMA
Lynzi and Kit. Look what Lynzi ate...Beans & Dessert. On the same plate...Weird! She had a craving and went for it. So cute!

Dad, Mom & Ryan. Ryan didn't want to look up for the picture.
Me, Brant, Jordan, Jud, Liz, Lynzi & Kit

The Harris Clan
We are weirdos. I guess Ben decided to skip this picture.

Jud, Liz, Lynzi, and Kit...They kind of look like monkeys
Me and Brant. We could be supermodels don't ya think?

This was at Aunt Stacy's house on Sunday

Liz and Baby Ethan. I have such a handsome guy!

Ethan does not quite fit in the jumper yet. He hasn't figured out how to keep his hands out of it. He just leans forward and sucks on the front. It's too cute!
My cute little Ethan. I'm excited for him to get a little bigger so he can play in the jumper and the saucer, and I will be able to get stuff done.
Ryan's first day of preschool. He was pretty excited to go.
Today after I dropped Ryan off at preschool at 9 a.m. I took Ethan over to Costco to get some much needed bulk items. I drove across town to go, and I get there and it's closed. Why didn't someone tell me Costco doesn't open until 10 a.m.? I was so frustrated, now I have to go back later when Ben gets home from work. I really don't like running errands to the store with the kids, and I really really don't like getting in the car and driving all the way over there and not being able to even get the errand done. Anyway, that's my complaint of the day.
Ben's sister Maren gave us the second season of The Office for Christmas and it has been so fun to watch. We just finished it and borrowed the third season from Mom & Dad Clegg. Yea! More Office to watch!

New Year

I've noticed it is very hard to post blogs when baby Ethan wants to be held all day. And I of course don't have the heart to put him down and listen to him cry. I'll try to do better posting. Anyway, New Years Eve we had some of Ben's siblings come over for a rockin' party with Pepsi and everything. Rob, Kandis & Raygan came, and Jake & Shayla and Peter came and had a sleep over with Ryan on the floor. Ben made "Cafe Rio" burritos, they were super good! New Years Day we went out to Tooele to see National Treasure Book Of Secrets with the whole Clegg family, then went to Dairy Delight after for dinner.
My brother Jud is officially engaged to Liz Ellsworth, they're getting married sometime this Summer. We're excited for them both, and hope Liz deals well with his Marine schedule.
Ben started school again this semester. I thought we were done, but he wanted to go on to get an MBA. I'm glad Ben is so motivated. I'll be lonely, so please feel free to come visit me anytime!
Ryan started preschool today, I'll post that picture later. He loves it! His teacher is a lady in our ward that does preschool out of her home. It's really fun for him, and a great break for me.

Dairy Delight with the Clegg Clan.

Ryan, Ethan, Mom Clegg, Maren, and Raygan.

Ryan and me at the Dinosaur museum (why there is a shark, I'm not sure).
Ryan digging for dinosaur bones. Such a cute face.
Peter holding Ethan, and baby Raygan after seeing Uncle Sam speak at church since he just got back from his mission. He is a stud, and single if you know of any girls! (he'll probably kill me for posting that).
Grandma playing with baby Ethan.
Ryan and Peter on New Years day playing Nintendo... you know the really old Nintendo. Ben's grandma gave it to us when I was on bed rest with Ryan. I can't figure out the new video games, so I like to play Mario Bros. and "squish mushrooms" as Ryan would say.

Again at the dinosaur museum.
