One of Those Days

It's been one of those days.
It's a good thing I have the best husband in the world.
(And a husband who did not want me to bite him when he got home)

Love Day, and Other Stuff

Rob & Kandis watched our kids for us while we went on a date for Valentines (Thanks guys!). We went to Cafe Trang for dinner, then came home and watched our favorite Tosh.O episodes.
On Valentines Day we gave the boys a little Valentine in a bucket (treats, monkey, mickey mouse sucker). Ethan is holding his monkey and the rose Ben brought home for me. Ben surprised me on our Valentine date...He went to Shane Co. Thanks Ben (I wasn't going to put that on my blog, but it really meant a lot to me because Ben hates buying jewelry!)

I went and helped at Ryan's Valentine Party at school. All the kids had a great time. I remember LOVING the holiday parties when I was a kid.

Valentine Bingo

The boys are always good helpers when I need vegetables peeled. They're so cute!

Ben and I started taking the boys out on individual "dates" every month. We trade off the boys, and let them choose what they want to do. This month it was my turn to go with Ethan. We went and got sandwiches, then went to Ethan and my favorite cake store, "Nothing Bundt Cakes". Ben took Ryan to Wendy's and then to Wal-Mart to get a small Lego toy to build together. We love our Dates! And they think it's pretty cool too.

Ethan has been into being a pirate lately. Here he is showing us his mad skills.

My Extra Positve Post

January, to me should be renamed to: Blah (way to be positive Kell)
January/February are the Months I just feel like doing nothing (more positivity flowing from me).
So I'll give a bullet list of things we've been up to.

*Kangaroo Zoo (a couple of times-the kids needed to burn energy)
*Going for walks when the sun comes out (we need some Vitamin D)
*Watching Greenbay win the Steelers with friends = AWESOME!!
*Having a friend motivate me to get into food storage (I bought 50 lbs. of WHEAT people!) & 25 lbs. of SALT- I won't be needing salt for the rest of my life.
*Trying new recipes for dinner, including making bread.
*Starting a dinner exchange with a friend (I make dinner for her family one night a week, and she makes dinner for my family one night a week--so far I'm loving it!)
*Ben and I have gone on some dates (yay for dates!), for example:
-New Restaurants like the BBQ place that is nationally recognized Q4U
-Barnes & Noble (we love to sit and read together-where it's quiet)
-Starbucks (for hot cocoa/steamed milk)
-Target for "our" game.
-Nothing Bundt Cakes for my favorite little cakes.
*Signed the boys up for baseball-They're excited!
*Fun play dates with cousins
*Went to the Cannery for the first time
*Ryan is doing really well in school. He loves it!
*Trying to pass time until the weather gets warmer...UGH!

Ethan loves to help.
Here he is doing the laundry "all by myself Mom".

Our lovely food...yeah, we ate it all!

Ethan fell asleep watching Spongebob while I was in the shower.

The boys are pretending they're camping. They pitched a tent and are roasting marshmallows by the fire. I love how creative kids are!!
