I Got Skill - at least I tell myself that

If you need a Relief Society Enrichment Night idea:
Our Relief Society Meeting turned out pretty darn cute I think.  That darn fabric was super expensive...I don't sew, so I was not sure how much I should spend.  Oh well, I'll make a quilt out of it one day.  The original plan was to put real shoes on the table...I had to put my foot down and say no way, that's gross.  Here is what I came up with.  (If you need to borrow shoe pictures, let me know).
I'm only posting this because I had a few friends who wanted to see the pictures.
The theme was, "Walk in Her Shoes".  Hence all the shoes...
(Invitation at the bottom)

Thanks to my friend Diana who made this super cute invitation for me! (she's a pro, why mess that up and do it myself??)
We had Cafe Rio Pork Salads & had President Peterson speak to us.  I think it turned out pretty good.  Everyone helped with the food, and it was delicious!

Skippy Jon Jones

Remember Pete the Cat?
Now it's Skippy Jon Jones.
Ryan had a lot of fun with Skippy!
We took him to the grocery store, he even got to check out our groceries.  We played on a 1000 lb. Pumpkin. Went to a Utah game (they won!), We took him trick-or-treating.  And we took him to the movies.  Skippy loves Popcorn & Soda!

Boo/Pumpkin/Cider/Costume Time 2011 aka HALLOWEEN

Excited to go trick-or-treating with good friends.

Carving pumpkins with Dad (and Skippy Jon Jones...post coming soon)

Ben and I tag teamed trick-or-treating this year. I went around with my super pregnant friend (she was having her baby the next day) until she got tired, then we switched and the dad's went with the kiddos.
Who does not love Halloween?  I love the smells, the leaves blowing all around, the crisp air, the fall colors.

We love our friends!

Now the dads are going out.  Ethan and Porter were done and wanted to stay home.
We passed out Full-Size Candy Bars this year.  I actually don't want to do that again.  I felt like we got hit pretty hard this year, and I think the word will get out and we'll have older kids coming by late while we're trying to get our kids to sleep.  Maybe when the kids are older we'll do it again...

We all went to the Haunted House in the neighborhood - Eth was a little nervous.

Ethan went trick-or-treating to his preschool teacher's house and she was so excited because he was her 100th trick-or-treater (really - she kept track) so he got a big back of gummy worms.

We love Halloween around here.  Sad to see it's over for another year, but...
bring on Christmas!
(yes, I know we have a holiday called Thanksgiving...I consider it more of an extension of Christmas)

Halloween Parade & Other Randomness

Ryan's drawing I found.  Can you tell who it is?
Wall E & Eva (Eva is transferring the plant into her...belly?)
Ryan is pretty much a professional.

Who does not love a self portrait with a shiny forehead??
