Captain Regular

The title has nothing to do with these pictures, but it was a funny story how I came up with it.

Anyway here are this and that pictures from the past week or so.

Ethan eating his first popsicle. He was trying to hold it himself, but it was so cold.
Ethan loves to sleep like this. It's hilarious. He just puts his arms behind his head and lounges.
Ethan & Ryan in the kitchen. Ethan trying to drink out of an empty milk container.
Me eating dinner. Lovely eh?
Ryan got his haircut at Cookie Cutters He got to sit in a fire truck, eat a sucker and watch Thomas the Train.
My friend Britni cut his hair, she works there on Saturdays.
Ethan hanging out of the car and Ryan was putting gas in it. Ethan's new favorite toy is this car.

Leslie's Bridal Shower
My cousin Leslie is getting married (hence the bridal shower) in October. Here are pictures from her shower...
Leslie had to play the bubble gum game It was really funny to see her drool.

Me and Ethan and my sister, Summer. I was looking at a cool cookbook my cousin Chelsea gave Leslie. Notice Ethan's arms again? Lounge!
Cousin Chelsea and Leslie's neighbor.
Cousin Whitney, Aunt Sydney, and Aunt Kim.
My Grandma Reese, Great Aunt Marilyn, and Great Great Aunt Ruth.
My Aunt Stacy and My Mom in the kitchen.
It was a fun bridal shower. Ben has been out of town this week so I had to bring the boys with me. I'm excited for Ben to come home tomorrow.

Just a Quiz

What Your Driving Says About You

You are high strung and easily worked up. You have a heck of a temper, and you're ready to fight anyone who ticks you off!

You tend to go by what you feel - not by the facts at hand. As a result, you tend to make a lot of uninformed decisions.

You are not a fair person in the least. Justice be damned - you get whatever you can for yourself.

You can be a rather tense, grouchy person - but you try to maintain your dignity.

You have mixed feelings about authority figures. You understand their place, but you believe their power needs to be in check.

You are somewhat focused, but you are also a bit scatterbrained. Distractions can get you in trouble.

You are a very responsible and conscientious person. You often consider the feelings and needs of others.

Your ego is a healthy size. You don't think you're more important than anyone else.

Oldies

I was looking at old pictures and I found a couple of cute ones of Ryan when he was just over a year old around Halloween time. Just thought I'd share...

Our Small Fame

We had our family picture taken at Kathryn Michaels Photography a few weeks ago. I just found our picture on her website. Here's what you do if you want to see it:

It's a 13 min. video, but I think it's worth it to watch.

Middle Canyon

Ben was in the mood for dutch oven dinner again. He said it would be the last time we could go up the canyons to eat and roast marshmallows because he starts his MBA this Saturday (good for Ben, but UGH, I'm going to be a lonely woman for the next two years). So we went to Middle Canyon (up and over Butterfield Canyon, on the Tooele side) with Ash and Audrey and their kids. We had a great time. But we were always surrounded by wasps. Audrey and I were screaming like girls.
Ben had to do a manly thing and chop down a tree. He felt very rugged.
Ben holding the tree he chopped down.

Bad picture of me (eating a smore) but Ben looks cute!

Three

I was tagged. I'm supposed to list 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals and 3 current obsessions. Here we go...

3 Joys

1. The obvious answer of my family. Ben is a wonderful husband (well, let's be honest here, he is a wonderful husband MOST of the time). :-) And I couldn't imagine life without my 2 boys. They've given me much joy watching them grow, and seeing how much they love each other, and love me.

2. Chocolate usually gives me much joy. If I can have a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream, then I am usually pretty joyful.

3. Being in my car all alone singing really loud to my favorite music. Usually SheDaisy, Dixie Chicks, or Tim McGraw.

3 Fears

1. I have nightmares that something will happen to Ben or to my kids. I fear they will get in a car accident, or get hit by a car. Or get kidnapped, or get lost in the woods while we're camping. Heck, I'm afraid they'll get eaten by sharks for crying out loud! I worry too much!!

2. I am terrified of spiders, snakes, and mice. Who isn't?

3. Ben was at the grocery store the other day, and there were 2 boys playing next to Ryan. Ben wasn't paying attention, but Ryan came back sad and wanted Ben to hold him. Ben asked what was wrong and Ryan said those boys called him stupid. I almost cried when Ben told me that. So it has been a fear of mine that when Ryan is at school, or at a friends house, or at the grocery store that someone is going to call him names, and I'm not going to be there to tell him...No, you are not stupid. I know kids call names...even Ryan calls names, but it's hard to hear it happen to your child. I'm going to be a freaked out mom when Ryan starts school.

3 Goals

1. Keep my house clean. Laundry INCLUDED.

2. To go to school. I don't even have a bachelors degree yet. I don't even know what I want to do! So maybe a goal should be to figure that out.

3. To know more about the church. I'll admit, I don't know that much for having been a member my entire life. It's sad. I've only read the Book of Mormon once all the way through, and I didn't understand half of it. I try to pick it up, but I'm never consistant. That's embarrassing to admit, but there you go.

3 Current Obsessions

1. The Twilight Saga. Do I need to explain more?

2. Blogging

3. Can chocolate be counted as an obsession also?

Yet another...

We are all reunioned out! Here we are at the Mueller Family Reunion (Ben's mom's side of the family). We went out to Tooele and had the Deseret Peak complex pool reserved for us.
Here are some of Ben's siblings.
Ben, Ethan and his parents. Ben's cousin Patrick snuck in the picture too.
My awesome sister-in-law, Shayla and I before we got in the pool.
Deseret Peak
Ryan in the water. Don't you love how swimsuits ride up your leg? :-)

Ethan loves playing in the water.

We had a really great time. I'm really sad that summertime is almost over. Cold weather is depressing!!

Family Reunions

Ethan eating another Oreo. YUM! Ben's brother Rob stayed with us for a couple nights last week so he could take the Bar exam. This is Uncle Rob, Aunt Kandis, Cousin Raygan, and Ethan after we ate dinner.
I'm not trying to corrupt my son, but here he is wearing my high heels, a play necklace and my sunglasses. He pretends to be "mom".
CLARK REUNION
This weekend we went to Idaho for 2 of my extended family reunions. The first one is at a fun park in Rexburg, Idaho with my grandma's side of the family (my dad's mom). This is the Clark reunion. The cool splash park in Rexburg.
My cousin Melissa's little boy, Charlie and Ryan patiently waiting their turn on the carrousel.
My sister's little boy, Shad, Charlie, and Ryan on the carrousel.
Me and Ethan. He loved it!
Ethan on the slide.
Some of the Clark side of the family with Grandma Harris.

HARRIS REUNION
After the Clark reunion we went further north through Ashton, Idaho to Warm River and had the Harris reunion.
This is Ryan, Charile, My cousin Melissa's husband, Leo, and me playing by the river.

Ben and Ryan in the river.
Charlie, Shad, and Ryan by the river looking for the snake I saw going in the water.
Ben and my nephew Jaxon in the middle of the river.
If you've ever seen Winnie the Pooh, you'll know what "Pooh Sticks" is. This is Ben teaching the kids how to play Pooh Sticks. You throw an item (a stick or weed or something) over the edge of the bridge and run to the other side to see which one comes out first.
Me, my mom and Ethan

My Dad, Mom and Ethan
Me and Ben
This was one of the family skits done that night. They layed on the table and sang, "Man I feel like a Woman", by Shania Twain. It was hilarious!
4 generation photo. My grandpa Harris, my dad, Me, Ethan & Ryan, and my sister's kids were in it too, Shad and Jaxon.
When we got back to the apartment in Idaho Falls the kids were pooped, and went right to sleep on the floor. We had a great time in Idaho. It was so fun seeing my dad's side of the family that I haven't seen for a while. I love my family!
