Halloween Time at Disneyland

Our second leg of the trip we took the boys to Disneyland.  It really is the happiest place on earth.  We loved it, and did not think 3 days at both parks was enough time.  I think we should go once a month, what do you think?

What's up with my photos turning sideways? Does anyone know how to fix that?

Again, my photos did not end up in order, but oh well. You get the idea.

 Toy Story Soldiers.

That scary dude snuck into our picture.
I absolutely loved the haunted mansion decorated for Halloween.  If you have not been to Disneyland at Halloween time, you should defiantly go.

The boys surfing with Mickey.

Blurry photo, but Pluto was eating Ryan's head.

Ethan was a little scared of Pluto, it was funny.

Ethan was flirting with Minnie, it was adorable.  Guess which stuffed animal he chose to buy?  Minnie.

We all loved seeing the Characters so close.  They were so nice to the boys!

In front of our favorite ride: Toy Story Mania

The Clegg Family Action figures.  By this time, Ethan had about had it.  It was a lot of walking around. (although, we did end up going to Wal-Mart and buying a stroller for him...note to parents with kids 4 & under, bring a stroller!)

Riding the tea cups again.  At one point Ethan was laying on Ben's lap.  I guess a little too much spinning.  I absolutely would not get on this ride!  I wanted to keep my lunch down.

Waiting for the Parade to start.

Look at that cute smile.  He was watching Mickey & Minnie in the Parade. Seriously, a real crush on Minnie, right?

My cute boys in the hotel on our last night there.  It was so hard to leave.  But we made great memories, and had so much fun together.  I wish we could go on vacation once a month!

Our Vacation (in 2 posts)

I'm sure most people say, "I can't believe it's over", when home from their vacation.  But for real, I can't believe it's over.  We've been looking forward to taking the kids to California for their first time forever (or at least, I have)!  We rented a mini-van and woke up at 2:30 a.m. to drive to Oceanside, CA.  We just told the kids were were going the beach, we did not mention we were also going to Legoland & Disneyland. They did love the beach, but I'm sure they would have loved it more if it were warmer.  We only stayed a few hours.  Here is the first post:  The Beach (Oceanside, Carlsbad, Mission), Hanging with Aunt Lynzie, San Diego, & Legoland. Then on to Hollywood.

Side Note: I have so many dang pictures, just move on if you are bored. Also, I already switched these pictures to be right side up, but some of them are still sideways, and I don't have the time to go switch them all back...sorry!

Stopping at the Coke & M&M World in Las Vegas on our way down.  We thought we'd sugar & caffeine them up for the drive (we're smart).

We tried to get into San Diego Zoo late (because the beach was too cold) but they were closing early...so we took the boys on this little train and to a science museum in Balboa Park.

(Pictures are mixed up BTW)

 Legoland!
The boys loved it here! They had the coolest things made out of legos. Some serious nerds were involved.  Wow!

Seriously, all this stuff is made out of legos!

 My pirates, by the pirates.

Ryan and Ethan both got their drivers license at legoland.

A lego Volvo.  So freaking cool!

The pier in oceanside.  Aunt Lynzie and Uncle Kit live in Vista (close to Oceanside), we picked her up and went to Ruby's for dinner (out on the pier).  It was awesome, I could have sat their for days.  We missed my brother Kit by a few days, he was coming home from his Deployment.  We love you Kit!

My favorite thing ever?  Listening to and watching the waves.  I don't know what it is, but I'm obsessed with it.

 Science Museum.

Pretending to be Rango somewhere in Balboa Park.

 Legos

 Yay, Bob the Builder!

 The boys loved Legoland!!

After 4 days of Oceanside/San Diego we went up to Hollywood to kill time before check in at our hotel in Anaheim.
I love Ricky!

 & Good ol' Tim

I've been to both of their concerts...amazing!

In front of the Hollywood sign in the distance.

Picture overload right?
 Just wait, Disneyland is next!!

P.S. If you want a place to eat in San Diego.  Make your way to Filippi's for some of the BEST Italian food I have ever had!! No joke.  It was recommended to us by a co-worker of Ben's who grew up there.  We went to the one in Pacific Beach, 2 blocks from the beach.

Ethan's Pirate Party

We had Ethan's 4th Birthday Party Early this year due to our family vacation.  Ethan wanted a pirate party. I think it turned out pretty cute.  He has been begging for a treasure hunt for a while now.
 Ben making the Pirate Juice.

Cute Party guests.  Ethan has the cutest friends!  (Why the girls are on the floor and the boys are at the table is beyond me...I guess chivalry is dead with 3 & 4 year olds).

We had yummy pizza, treasure hunt, pin eye patch on pirate, pinata, & ice cream.  The kiddos & Ethan had a really fun time.

Treasure Box Pinata. The kids did awesome!

 Cousin Lane

Ben made the coolest treasure hunt!  This one says...from the lawn mower, to the freezer.
The X marks the spot was in the truck of the car.

Grandma Linda & Grandpa Bob showed up later to wish Ethan a Happy Birthday!!

Ethan had a great party!  His actual birthday is this week.
Thanks to all the party guests coming & having fun with us!
