He is not Gay

Meet my Dad, Jeff. He loves guns, he loves movies, he loves to camp, he loves the Greenbay Packers and he loves his family. He has been bald on the top of his head for as long as I can remember, with grey hair and a mustache.
Ryan was up early with Ben the other morning while Ben was getting ready for work. The conversation went something like this:
Ryan: Dad, I know why Grandpa is Bald.
Ben: Oh yeah, why?
Ryan: He went to bed one night and his hair fell from the top of his head to the side, and turned grey.
Ben: laughing
Ryan: Dad, how come you shave?
Ben: So I don't have hair on my face.
Ryan: I think you should have a hairy face...you know, like uncle Jud and uncle Brant. And have a mustache like Grandpa, that would be cool.
Ben: Doesn't know what to say, so Ryan keeps going...
Ryan: Dad, how come Grandpa has such a big belly? Oh, I know, it's because he drinks a lot of Pepsi.
Ben: laughs, says, "probably", and comes downstairs to tell me all about it.

Above: My Dad
Below: Brant (although he's not so hairy in this picture and no, he's not gay)
Below: My brother Jud. Hairy. He's a hairy Harris like the rest of them.
I did not include my brother Kit, because he's always been pretty clean shaven.

Update on Asthma:
I had to take Ryan to the doctor yesterday. That is THREE days in a row we've had to go. It was so nice when it was just around the corner. Anyway, Ryan has asthma also. I think I need a bigger medicine bag. Ryan has been coughing and wheezing, and yesterday he had an "attack". He went outside while my mom mowed the lawn. I should not have let him. I know he is allergic to grass. Anyway, he came in saying he didn't feel good and couldn't breathe. I made him take Claritin and sit down for a while. When I put him down to rest in bed I lied down with him and Ryan said, "mom, listen...my heart is whistling". The doctor did the nebulizer on him also, and gave him an inhaler with face mask. And said we'd look at other treatment when he feels better. I'm not so sure coming out to Tooele was the best thing for us. It just goes to show that Pollution in Salt Lake is better than Pollen in Tooele. Oh that, and we found out that my mother has never changed her air filter since she moved in 2 years ago. And the filter she had was a cheap $.97 one. So Ben went and bought the good hepa one and changed it for her.

More to be grateful for: Modern Medicine. Without it, all of my boys wouldn't be here. I have 3 asthmatic boys now. But that's okay. We'll deal with it, they will get under control. And everything will be fine. We told Ryan after he uses the inhaler with the face mask it's like he's super man, and so much stronger than before. He's beginning to think it's okay. The hard part is trying to keep him inside, and calm. Also, I am grateful for my health. I would rather trade places with my boys, but since I can't do that...I am grateful I'm healthy.

Wow, posts two days in a row. You are on a roll! I am sorry that you have to deal with asthma. That is not fun. I hope you boys get feeling better.

Man...you are the best mom. I can barely remember to take snacks places for my kids, I can't imagine having to carry all that medicine around. Next time you are in Riverton call! I am so sad I missed you!
