Ryan is Five

Can you believe I have a 5 year old? (I hope your answer is no way, you're way too young). Ryan was so excited for his birthday this year. He said he just wanted family to come over for his birthday so that's what we did. He was really into Transformers this year. His favorite is Optimus Prime. Ryan was in our room at 7 a.m. asking to open his presents. Crazy boy!

Ethan watching Ryan open his presents.

Before the family party we took a trip to Home Depot. The boys can not go there without sitting on the riding lawn mowers.

Ryan opening presents from family. We were really grateful for all of you who took time out of your busy lives to be there for Ryan. Ryan was excited to have all of you there.

Ryan wanted birthday cake, but he can't have cake so I decided to make a birthday ice cream pie instead. He insisted on the fudge and the sprinkles.

Rick & Liz and Jake & Shayla. Sorry for the sun in your face! :-)

Happy Birthday Ryan. We love you so much!

That is crazy that you have a 5 year old! I can't believe how big Ethan looks. Is the reason he can't have cake because of the eggs? I can teach you how to make a cake with no eggs that tastes pretty freakin good, brownies too. Your boys would never know any different anyway.

You may be getting older but you still look great. Look how old our moms look and you will feel better.

So Kelly, your question about whether or not to send Ryan to kindergarten or not has inspired me to ponder long and hard on whether or not I liked skipping a grade of school. I never really thought about it before, but I came to the same conclusion that your mother-in-law did. I kind of liked it when things came easy to me. Plus, it sort of sucks being a junior waiting outside the school for your mom to pick you up. Anyhoo, Happy Birthday to Ryan and congrats on your anniversary.

Wow, Kell, Happy Birthday to Ryan, that is so crazy. I have to tell you, I was reading your anniversary post and the first thing on there said, Ryan's birthday came first, it made it sound like he was born before you got married and it made me chuckle a little. I know..I'm retarded! Anyway, Happy Anniversary too!
