Our trip to Cancun was amazing! The pictures won't even do it justice. Even though I have a million pictures here, I did not take as many as I wanted...I was having way too much fun!
If you don't want to look at "boring vacation pictures", just skip this post.
We drove to Las Vegas on Friday, flew to Mexico City on Saturday, then flew to Cancun. The only way I can describe the feeling when we walked outside, off the the plane was suffocation. It was SO humid, it took a while to get used to it, but then I loved it...I didn't have to use lotion down there. We got to our hotel at 2 a.m. Sunday Morning. So I'll do these pictures in order...
Sunday, Day 1:
The hotel was beautiful! I highly recommend it! It was adults only and all inclusive (food, drinks, room service, gratuity, all included). The picture below is of one of the walk ways to a restaurant. There was a buffet for breakfast & lunch and dinner you could choose from different types of restaurants, Steak, Lobster, Italian, French, Mexican, Japanese. My favorite part was the unlimited guacamole and fruity drinks! Even on the beach they had waiters that would come to you and take your order and bring you drinks. Ah, so nice!
My first time seeing an iguana. I saw a ton of them!

We took a van tour to Chichen Itza, the old Mayan Ruins.
It was AMAZING (except the annoying Americans, & Canadians we were on the bus with!).
We stopped in a town on the way back. That church is 500 years old!!
Tuesday, Day 3: No Pictures, we were too busy having fun and relaxing
Wednesday, Day 4:
Our last full day here (we will know for next time to STAY LONGER!).
It was always so humid so it was hard to take a good picture. Here is Ben lounging at the beach reading his book. We'd swim, then lounge, then swim, then lounge.
Me getting out of the water. p.s. the fish like it when you pee in the water. I had like 20 fish around me when I would pee (oh come on...don't tell me you haven't pee'd in the ocean!)
We walked along the beach at night and these little camouflage crabs would come out of their holes.
Thursday, Day 5:
Our last morning...Tear...
One of the board walks. It was so gorgeous there. We could not get over it!
Our little crab friend. We walked down by the beach at sunrise (6 a.m.). We wanted to spend as much time as we could by the beach before we had to leave at 10 a.m.
Our last walk before we had breakfast.
We flew back to Las Vegas this day and stayed on the strip that night. We had a nice date, then woke up and got some things for the kids at M&M world (their favorite), then drove home.
We went to Texas Roadhouse that night and to a movie.
I was having stomach issues the next morning, so Ben woke up and did all the laundry before we picked up the kids and let me relax (thanks Ben!!). We were so excited to go pick up the boys! Thank you SO much to Ben's Mom, My Mom, and to Rob & Kandis for watching our boys!! I know they had fun with you all, but it was also nice to know they missed us a lot too! Ethan is clinging to me right now and won't let me go...I'd imagine it'll be that way for a while.
Oh Man...When can we go back??

That looks like so much fun!! We will have to find out where you stayed! It is so nice to get away and always hard to come back to the "real world":)
Way to go, you! It is so rejuvenating to get away for a while. You look beautiful in all those pics, I love that you didn't do your hair. We will have to get all your tips about things to do there; it looks just wonderful! I'm going to bug Ash to take me now. :)
we went to Cancun for our honeymoon. I loved it, too! (And wish we'd stayed longer as well) Didn't you think it was amazing how many parallels there are to our religion at Chichenitza? (Sp?) We saw so many amazing things there. Glad you had an awesome time!
Looks so romantic- I thought you looked rather tan when I ran into you- glad you that you had some alone time.

One word for you, Jealous!! It looks like you guys had so much fun in Cancun. Even though your boys missed you (and you missed them) I am sure it was a nice little get away with just the two of you. :)
