Cancun (Riviera Maya), Mexico

This is our second time going to this resort. The Valentin Imperial Maya.  We highly recommend staying here if you are going to the Cancun area (Adults only).
We rented a car this time, and Ben drove.  You get used to passing the police officers with Machine Guns. We were able to see a bunch more, and go off the beaten path.
Sadly though, my camera broke half way through our trip, and my cell phone camera also quit working, nice. So enjoy the few pictures we have...

  This is the life.
Laying out at the beach was my favorite part!

This is my Baywatch shot (above).

We went to some random hut on the beach and had them take us snorkeling and boating in front of the Mayan Ruins in Tulum.  Ben was a fish, he loved the snorkeling! I on the other had, was nervous of sharks & breathing under water, and got sea sick.  I'm definitely not as adventurous as my other half.

Us in front of the Ruins.  It was super cool to see them this way, rather than walking around in the heat.

More snorkeling at Xel-Ha.  We saw thousands of tropical fish & Ben saw a sting-ray!

Cliff Jumping.  I was not scared until I was in the air falling.  Ah!

Sorry for the crooked pictures, I could not get them to flip again.  Ben again, was trying to see how far he could jump out. I swear, he really is a fish in the water.

This was his first time off (above). He was a little more nervous.

The beautiful delta we snorkeled in.

We drove to Playa Del Carmen to go shopping, and walk around.  We met some friends, on my head is Rango, and on Ben's head is Bella.  The boys got a kick out of these photos.

So cool!

We also stopped and got a couple's massage off the side of the street.  We were nervous, but they did a fantastic job, and it was only $50 (compared to the $340 our resort was charging)

While I was laying out, Ben enjoyed boogie boarding.  It took only a few times to get the hang of it.

This is what I did best.
Lay out, read a book, listen to & watch the waves & drink Mango Tangos.

Taking a break at Xel-Ha. I miss that view!

We had a fabulous time. But we were excited to pick up our kids.  We missed them.
I am so thankful to my Mother-in-Law for watching our boys the whole time were were gone.  We told the boys they were going on a vacation to Grandma's house, and they had a blast the whole week! She took them to a Bees Game, to a Movie, to the swimming pool, they played outside with Marshall & Maren, and helped Grandpa weed the garden!  Grandma took pictures of them, that I will put on later...

Happy 10 Year Anniversary to us!
(I can't believe it's been that long!!)
