Ryan's Baptism Day

I've been to several baptisms, but nothing prepares you for how you'll feel on your own child's baptism day.  It has been a while since I have felt the spirit that strong.  I know Ryan made the right decision in choosing to be baptized.  And I am so grateful that Ryan has a Dad who is a worthy priesthood holder who could baptize him and confirm him a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  What a special Day for Ryan, and for all of us!

We are so grateful to all of our friends and family who came to the baptism.  We know it was a sacrifice to come on a Saturday morning. Please know we are so thankful, and we are so blessed to have so many great people in our lives.

I apologize in advance for all the pictures taken while guest where eating their food.  I just knew if I did not take pictures at the beginning, then it would not get done.

Our sweet friends, Lowell & Cheryl.  Ryan has known them since he was a baby. Ry calls them Grandma & Grandpa.

I also want to give a special thanks Sam & Shalleece, the Hulet's, the Suker's, the Dana's, my brother Brant, Sister King, & Brother Banks who also came to the baptism, but could not come to the lunch, or I just did not get a picture of.  And also to my friend Brittany Jones who is also a member of the Stake Primary Presidency, for giving Ben & Ryan VIP treatment at the baptism, showing them where to go and what to do.
Thanks again, we seriously are so blessed!

Ben & the food table.  Thanks for everyone who brought food. It all turned out delicious.
We had pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potatoes, yummy salads & desserts.

Ryan opening a letter from Uncle Peter who is on a mission in Mexico.  We thought that was really neat that Peter wrote him a letter for his baptism day.

Opening his new scriptures from Mom & Dad.

We love you Ryan & are so proud of you!

Thanks Liz, wish you could have been here too.

Audrey, wish you were here too! Ash totally needs to come down and go boarding. Ben would love that. We also need to make it up there. Ash just needs to convince Ben!
