The Incredible Rainbow

I love when it rains with the sun shining. This was looking out our front window above my Uncle Pog's house. If you look above the rainbow you'll see it was actually a double rainbow. Ryan was so excited to show it to Ben and I.

So incredible don't you think?

The only person who loves Target as much as I do. Handsome Ryan. (FYI, I'm not one of those people that flip the collars of polo shirts like a faketard, I just forgot to fix it for him).

Cute little Ethan getting comfy on the floor.

My Mother-in-law gave me an awesome gift just because. A.1. Steak Sauce. Sweet! Thanks Mom.

My MJ

michael jackson Pictures, Images and Photos

What the heck? He can't die!

Blogger is very slow right now, so I'm sure there are a lot of people posting the same thing I am. Such a sad day. I received a few text messages from family saying that Michael Jackson died today. No more Billy Jean. I was really looking forward to his World Tour. How could you not go see Michael in Concert?

Seriously, so sad! As most of you know (favorite things list) I loved his music. He may be weird, but I don't care. I will be mourning...at least for a day. :-) He may not be missed by all, but he will be missed by me.

A Private Tour

Ben's Uncle Dan and his Mom invited us to have a private tour with a General Authority of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple last Saturday. Instead of meeting in the tents, Elder Kikuchi took us right in the temple and showed us the video in the temple waiting room. Then he took us around the temple himself, telling us what things meant to him. And told us some really neat stories. I'll be honest, I actually felt guilty. He would take us off the carpet protector path onto the real carpet and take us in the rooms and sit us down and talk to us for about 15-20 minutes in each room. When we went to the baptismal font he actually stopped traffic and closed the doors to talk to us privately. I think sitting in the sealing room with Elder Kikuchi was the neatest experience for me. He had some great stories to share. We had a family group of about 10 people and another Doctor and his Wife that Uncle Dan knew from the hospital (Uncle Dan is a doctor at University of Utah Hospital).

I hesitated on whether or not I should even say anything. Because:
A). How is it fair that we got a private tour...what made us special?
B). I promise the church is not more true for us because we got a special tour
C). Again, I felt guilty that we were taken in front of people, and other people had to wait on us...people who may not have been members of the church and it might have made them also think "what makes them so special".

Nevertheless, it was still a special experience for us. Ben had a final so he couldn't go, but I took my boys. They were the only kids in the group. They did an awesome job! They were both so quiet and reverent. It was great! Then Ben's Mom took us out to Cafe Rio after....YUM!

Happy Father's Day Ben

(For those of you reading this post, be sure to get a throw up bag now).

Ben, even though you are not my dad (thank heavens for that) you are the father of my children. I want you to know how much I love you and how much your boys love you. They get so excited when you get to see them on the weekends. They love when you wrestle with them and "torture" them because heaven knows mom doesn't do that. I appreciate what a hard worker you are. You work full time to support the family and let me stay home with my beautiful boys. And you go to school full time at night. We know you are busy, tired, and wiped out most of the time, but you still find time to play with Ryan and Ethan. You've always helped me at night with the kids when they wake up. You don't leave it up to me all the time. You change diapers and clean up all the throw up when you're home (because you know I'll throw up if I do it).
Pregnancies were really hard for me and you were always there. You went to work, went to school, did your homework, and you were my nurse also giving me my medication in my IV making sure I had ginger ale to sip on, and canned peaches I could try to munch on.
I just really appreciate who you are. I'm so happy I married you. And I'm so happy you are my boys Daddy. I love you. Happy Father's Day!

This may be picture overload but I could not resist.

Bored or Thoughtful?

I checked my e-mail last night and this is what I found on my Gmail homepage. The Twilight background. Although, I'm not the one that did it. Ben was either really bored at school, or he was thoughtful. I can't decide which, so we'll go with thoughtful. Maybe making up for the butt comment? Thanks Ben for my now awesome background.

More Favorites and a Super Story

I forgot a few other favorite things. These are my super favorites. I can't believe I forgot them.

1). My Kitchen Aid Mixer. Awesomeness. It really is a ball of awesome in one machine. I feel so lazy using it. It just does the nasty work for you. I even did mashed potatoes with it. I really has some balls that's for sure.

2). My Kitchen Radio/CD Player. I listen to music all day long. This really does get me motivated to cook/clean in the Kitchen. And it does not take up a lot of space. I highly recommend you getting one if you like music.

3). And last (well for now). I love my Reef flip flops. I wear them all Summer long, and I'm not talking about Kidd Rock's song. They are so comfy. They just mold to your feet. Ben bought me my first pair when we were engaged and they have been my favorite since then. I also buy them for my boys. You can buy them online, or I go to Journeys Kidz to get them.

I was trying to get the boys ready for bed and they ran off and hid on the stairs (the stairs were dark, the flash made them light). It was cute that Ethan was following Ryan's lead. Crazy boys.

Here they are tonight eating cookie dough and apple sauce. I only have to use 4 tablespoons of applesauce for my cookie recipe so I let them eat the rest of it.

And like I said before, I have a lot of favorite things so I might add more again later.

STORY:
When Ben got home from school last night I was doing my "pretend" sexy walk down the hall (in my pj's). Ben asked me if that was supposed to be sexy, because it wasn't.
I said, "what you don't think I look sexy with my saggy butt?"
He said, "well you could do those exercises I showed you the other night".
Then I got mad at him, "Ben I wasn't talking about my actual butt! I was talking about my saggy pajama bottoms, they go like clear down to my knees!".
Then we laughed and laughed. Ben kept trying to back pedal saying I didn't really have a saggy butt, he was just kidding. But now I know the truth. It looks like I need to do "some of those butt exercises".

My Super Awesome Favorite Things List

I got the "favorite things" idea from a friend. I love hearing what other people's favorite things are. So when you're finished reading mine, please do yours. Here are my favorite things in no particular order or number of things. This is not including the normal favorites...Family etc.

1). Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Seriously, if you have not had one of their burgers and fries, you are missing out. Fresh and delicious. I'm a sucker for a good burger and fries.

2). Twilight Books. Twilight Movies. Twilight Trailers. Twilight Blogs. Twilight Actors/Actresses. Talking Twilight. If it has to do with Twilight, you name it, I love it!

3). Michael Jackson. How can you not sing along to Billy Jean? This was the first song I did Karaoke in front of my in-laws. I love his music. I ignore his personal life because I love his music so much. Why ban his awesome music just because he's not all there?

4). DVR. We are a little behind. We just go DVR a month ago. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I can pause The Bachelorette while I take a pee, or fast forward through the commercials. Awesome!

5). Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Homemade of course. Forget the cookies, just give me the damn dough!

6). My Pillow. Call me a weirdo but I can't sleep somewhere else without it. It's like a baby and their Binky. I love them smell of my own pillow.

7). Pepsi. The real stuff. Not the diet. I really need to loose some weight, and I just don't know how I'm going to give this up. I just look at a Pepsi logo and I need to go get one. Yes, it's called Addiction.

8). Estee Lauder makeup. I'm a sucker for department store makeup. I don't get it that often anymore, but when I do...it is surely a treat.

9). Big Star Jeans from The Buckle. They're pretty pricey, so I usually get one pair a year. But I LOVE them.

10). My blog. Whoever invented blogs is a freaking genius.

11). A1 Steak Sauce. This one is for my in-laws. I'll have to tell you the story another day. I could drink that stuff.

12). The word Super. I love using this word whenever possible. It's the super coolest word ever.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of favorite things, but that's all I'll do for now. Now it's your turn.

*Shout out to my brother Jud! Happy Birthday!
