My friend had the ingenious idea of bringing treats to the Fireman who have worked so hard and for so long on the Herriman fire. I had Ryan & Ethan color them a picture (they were so cute!) and say thank you. We made them cookies and brownies and brought them to the "command center" (The Herriman Fire station). The road is blocked off so we had to sneak in the "back way". These fireman shown above just got off the graveyard shift and were so tired, but so grateful for the treats, and so sweet to the kids.

There are 400 + fireman working not including police officers and military. Here are some tents set up for them. We are so grateful for all the hard work they've done to protect our homes. The chief was telling us about a fire in San Diego that took blocks of homes and he was grateful they were able to stop that from happening here.
So are we!
Thank you!To my readers: I love all your comments. Thanks for all your kind words!

I am slow on blogging this week...I am so glad that you guys and your home are fine. What a stressful, scary night. I am glad that you are back in your own home now. How nice of you to take treats to the firemen.
I'm so glad you came!! Fun times, and your sweater is adorable. Remember, 2nd or 3rd weekend in October. It's a date!
So you are apparently friends with my sister because my nephews are in those photos! :) Angela Howell, she has the two twin boys. It's a small world. I loved doing this with my kids too. We did it last night and we had to go again today! Great minds think a like!
Good job kelly, those guys don't get enough recognition for the work they do! Dad!
I was nervous enough, and we were much further away than you. I was sure that when I heard of the evacuations that you guys were included. I am so glad everything turned out alright for you!
